Movie: The Hurt Locker
There’s nothing really bad to say about this movie. The thing is, I just don’t know what it adds to the war movie landscape.
I feel like this is a movie I’ve seen before. It’s bits of a lot of other movies, just put together a little differently.
The Hurt Locker, however, is very solidly put together. The quieter, smaller moments and the larger action scenes balance and play well together. The shaky camera thing made me motion sick though. That technique is so not my cup of tea.
If this is a person’s first, or an early, war movie viewing experience, it is probably going to be very meaningful and memorable.
For me though, as solid as it is, it just does not distinguish itself enough.
