There are so many things to welcome back with the return of Battlestar Galactica. Among them are Jacob’s recaps at Television Without Pity and the So Say We All blog carnival.

I never got into Veronica Mars, I saw a few episodes and liked them but it was all over the tv schedule here and I couldn’t make plans to watch a few in a row. Would it stand up to getting the box sets?

Dan, I feel that the strongest season was the first season. It’s a self-contained mystery that really plays out like a noir movie except the world-weary, smart-mouthed, hard-drinking, Sam-Spade detective is a teenage girl.

The other seasons fall off, sometimes quite a bit (relatively), but the strength of the Veronica Mars character kept me coming back for each new season.

griot, Rob Thomas and his team made a short “pilot” to show how Season 4 would work. I’m guessing these are the sampler. I can’t remember when I first saw them.
