CubeWarrior, education and a healthy emergency fund. If the population at large was that responsible, we wouldn’t be in this mess right now.

I was thinking that if I had an extra $600 before the holidays, it would be hard to not splurge on presents this year. The word is though, if it does get passed, it won’t be until next year. By then, it’ll be much easier to resist temptation and do what’s right for me.

These stimulus packages are purely political tricks. They do the average person zero good. I was actually surprised on this last check that a lot of flat screen TVs weren’t sold. I would have expected that.

My check went directly to pay for some tutoring for the kid. He’s making good grades so far, so invested wisely.

What would I do with another check? Straight to the emergency fund. Mine has been depleted from 5 1/2 months down to 3.
