I think Technorati is fadding away and will soon be just part of blog history – unless they get it together quickly and start addressing their bugs.

Thanks for your feedback. You’re both right. As long as I still place value in Technorati’s service, I need to deal with their bugs. I’ve put in another request for help from them.

I’ve also had my share of problems with Technorati. I guess I’m a bit more philosophical about stuff like this – use it as far as it’s of benefit, try and work around the limitations, and move on if you can’t. As you say, at the end of the day, they don’t owe you anything, just like you don’t owe your readers anything as such. Of course, if you don’t give them what they want, they won’t come around anymore…it’s a supply and demand thing.

Personally, I check Technorati less and less, both as a blogger and as a blog reader. The problems simply don’t seem to be worth the extra effort.

However, I still make sure I claim each new blog, etc. Why? Becuase they were the top of the heap and it’s always possible they’ll regain the throne. besides, I haven’t found any alternatives that I enjoy.
