Good Music on WUMB Radio
Boston radio station WUMB is the Battlestar Galactica of music.
All my life, I’ve had scarce luck when it comes to getting people to try my recommendations. That all changed with Battlestar Galactica.
Year after year, season after season, people got hooked—left, right, and center.
It was a pretty head feeling.
Now, I get to feel all that once again with WUMB.
I’m not even trying to evangelize them. It just happens. I listen. Someone asks what station is playing. They start listening. Someone else wants to know.
And so on and so on…
The music is varied and smart. They say their playlist goes from Americana to Zydeco. It’s a great station to have on while working.
Little did I know, I shouldn’t have been pushing artists like Cheryl Wheeler and Patty Griffin. I should have let everyone discover them for him and herself by listening to my radio station of choice.
