Chicago Force Women’s Tackle Football

Chicago Force women's tackle footballDid you know there’s a women’s tackle football league out there? Chicago’s team is called the Force. They play at the field of North Park University.

I got a chance to catch a game last month against the Minnesota Vixens. Unfortunately, the Vixen organization is obviously not as strong as Chicago’s.

MN didn’t come with a team big enough to have separate offensive, defensive, and special team squads. On this very hot day, this lead to gassed players, increased injuries, and a lopsided score.

I’m told that the season ender this weekend against Detroit is going to be a much better contest. In their first meeting of the season, Detroit had the home field advantage and took the 21-19 squeaker.

Chicago Force cheerleadersThe team and their fans are looking forward to the rematch this Sunday.

Entry is $10, and the Chicago Force cheerleaders make sure everyone has a good time. They certainly are enthusiastic.
